Childlike ….. Preserve it !

In the process of growing up from a Kid to a big man in this life, we gain so much. When we were kids we often think of the moments to grow up and enjoy a bit of our independence. But it does not come easy, we have to pay a heavy price for it by shading the layers of innocence and childlike qualities. I wonder that as a child we never strive for God’s blessings because it doesn’t matter whether he sanctions our actions or not. But as we start shading the layers of our inner childishness, we seek for divine intervention to prevent us from our own deeds and misdeeds. Generally, we keep asking him for something or prevent us from something, but as a child when we stood in front of divine there was nothing in the head, just us who were ready to absorb whatever thrown at us.  A child has faith beyond any reasoning and doubts, not only in divine but also in human. I have read somewhere that when you throw up a small kid in the air, he/she giggles, does not cry because he/she has the faith that the person standing down would hold him. But the same kid has to struggle to live without fear and with ultimate faith, once the brain starts capturing the outer noise. In this noise, the inner atmosphere of sensitivity and receptivity becomes fragile and cracks down. Fear and insecurity start building up. As a child we lived without any fear; even the fear of falling while taking the baby steps was not there. Every unsuccessful attempt as a child made us more delighted to strive for it. But now we need to learn those things again as a teaching; somewhere in the cycle of growth we lost many layers to embrace adulthood but, in those layers, we also lost our very true nature which is full of compassion, innocence, boundless joy and contentment. Now, we struggle to find the reasons to be happy and when we were children always reasons were created to make us unhappy for some time.

We cannot remain untouched by the external process, it does affect us with or without our willingness. But it is necessary to preserve that child within us that let us remain attached to our inner being without getting lost and misplaced. I believe that bonding is the most essential thing which will help us to dance through our lives.

” Some long lasting impressions “

I was dying to write this, even before I finished this book. Usually, it doesn’t happen with me. I take my own comfortable time to articulate anything that I write, but this time it was different. I felt that if I fail to pen my feelings down at this very moment, I won’t be able to write about it in the same manner ever- this feeling won’t sustain.                       The full story can be read here

Maa..we all are children to god, right ??
Yes, dear.

God loves equally to everyone?

Off course..
Then Why our life is so miserable and Theirs not ?
Whom are you talking about?
( He pointed to the house of their sahib )
Shhh….don’t say like this. In fact , by God’s grace our lives are equally well.
From where do you gain the stupid arguments to support your god !
My Child, life is different for different people. Life is not same for everyone. Maybe what is hell for you, is the urge for someone. See, you are so physically well, some people just urge for their hand to work well or legs to work well,  to make few comfortable  steps. Imagine the pain of such people. Definitely , more than yours!
Yess… I know. But still , why I have to wait for the left over toys, that when they will be thrown off and I will get the chance to play. It hurts me mom.
You are fortunate dear that almighty is giving you the chance to ask something from him. When you will ask anything from him , he will guide you and then you will connect to him.
This connection keeps you close to your heart, dear. There is nothing more valuable than establishing the connection with yourself.
Will this connection solve the miseries of our life?
Off course not, it will not do any miracle . But it will give you the immense strength to overcome the challenges of your life and that will determine the strength of your character.Feel privileged that god has given you the opportunity to polish yourself in your own way. You know sometimes this urge becomes so strong that it will extract the best out of you, if taken in a positive path.
The little kid was not left with any more arguments to defend his point . He slowly walked out of the cottage with his books.
He was trying to reconnect and reconcile whatever his mother just said, when his eyes moved to those lines at the book in his hand “The Lotus flower blooms most beautifully from the deepest and thickets mud ” .
Finally he comprehend what his mother just said and went back to her with satisfaction.

A Beautiful Morning…

3rd september, tuesday: For 2 years I have been living in Bombay (sorry it’s Mumbai!) yet have never realised that how steadily I have developed an affection towards the city. Life is a hell lot hectic here but still mumbaikars never miss the chance to celebrate any festival irrespective of the religion, caste or culture. Personally, I enjoy the zest with which they celebrate the festivals, whether it’s navratri with dandia night, onam with celebration of exotic south Indian food, Janmashtami with dahi handi (Krishna leela), Christmas, or their very own Ganesh Chaturthi.

This year I have been finally privileged to receive the blessing of Mumbaicha Raja. Although entire Maharashtra is covered with the aura of bappa morya ( Lord Ganesha), Lalbaghcha Raja has its own air. For last two years I had been thinking to push myself in the long queue to feel the celebration that is so vast , so grand and at the same time very pious.

Finally this year on 6 th day of the celebration I started for Mumbaicha Raja ( Mumbai’s king) at 4 a.m from my place accompanied with my office colleagues; and really that 70 minutes drive to Lalbaugh was fun. Although all of us were half asleep but office gossips never get over. With all the chit chat we finally reached the door for the darshan. I must tell you, though it was a working day but the crowd over there!! Everyone was prepared to pull themselves straight to their cubicles after the Bappa Darshan. Meanwhile the unpredictable Mumbai’s rain started.  That slight rainfall anyhow was a blessing at that time. As we expected the queue was not that long, given our timing. Usually it happens to be 5 – 8 hrs drive, sometimes even 2 – 3 days long.

In the slight rainfall ” Ganpati bappa morya , Mangal Murti Morya!” was echoing. Every eye in the crowd was straight to the last spot on the path searching for a glimpse of Bappa; And yes! I finally managed to have a glimpse. That feeling is a bliss really. Everyone took out the cameras to record at least one image of Bappa this year.

God is there or not; it’s all upon faith. I felt serenity in the air, calmness in my mind when I had an eye to eye contact with the huge elephant god. I was so timid in front of him…Although  I can’t say that those two seconds of interaction were enough; but yes they were enough to the mark the rest of my year with his blessings. In minutes we evacuated the place, as we were followed by thousands of people behind us by then. But I was happy… as if I have achieved some target, and certainly it was no less than a target to have the Bappa Darshan in less than an hour during Ganesh Chaturthi in Mumbai.

Filled with energy we moved towards our pavilion. Office , of course is not fascinating, but in spite of getting at 3.00 a.m in the morning, I was wide awake throughout the day and filled with energy and enthusiasm.

He left the city after 10 days but I am sure next year when he will return I will again carve for those calm and serene eyes of lord.
